M&M Global Awards 2025 Shortlist Announced

Launched in 1989, the M&M Global Awards are the oldest programme in the Festival of Media portfolio, celebrating media teams based in Europe who work on campaigns with a global reach. Over the years, it has evolved into a truly international competition, recognising the innovative use of platforms, channels, and tools across a range of industry sectors, from automotive and pharma to finance and beauty.

The campaigns receiving the highest number of shortlists in 2025 for the M&M Global Awards are ‘Screen2Save’ and ‘Rainbow Wool’ by Mediaplus Germany; ‘GameHers’ by OMD Costa Rica; ‘Real Beauty Redefined for the AI Era’ by Mindshare US; ‘The Redditor Edit’ by PHD UK and Vaseline Verified by Mindshare UK.

“It’s inspiring to witness such a diverse and innovative mix of campaigns submitted and recognised in 2025. The exceptional quality of entries highlights will provide the industry with new global benchmarks to adhere too. It is always interesting to see how those shortlisted fair in the final round of judging when the jury come together to debate, discuss and deliberate and award the trophies.” Says Leah Mellard, Awards Manager, Festival of Media.

Rising above the rest, the top five agencies that received the most shortlists are Mindshare US, MEDIAPLUS Germany, EssenceMediacom US, Carat UK and ​​Arena Media. Leading the competition amongst the brands the top five contenders with the highest number of shortlists are Dove, Free2move, McDonald’s, Schäferei Stücke and 2degrees.

Geographically the most shortlisted countries are the UK and US, separated by one nomination while Germany, France and Canada are close behind.

The jury consisting of clients including Deliveroo, McDonald’s, Mars and Bayer will come together at the end of September for the final round of judging.

The winners of the M&M Global Awards will be announced on 2nd October, while the winner of the Best International Media Campaign in association with the IAA will be revealed at the IAA Christmas Lunch on 4th December.
