Conceived in 2022 the Festival of Media Cause Campaign Awards aims to encourage more of the industry to seamlessly incorporate cause or purpose into their media strategies, showcase how media can be a force for good and provide a platform to highlight and amplify the work currently being produced in this space.
Agency Network OMD tops this year’s Festival of Media Cause Campaign Awards shortlist with three campaigns recognised by the judges from three of its offices around the world.
Deal with the Trash’ from OMD Sweden, ‘‘Good Tings’: How 2degrees expanded its fight for fair’ by OMD New Zealand and ‘EstibADores’ by OMD Peru impressed the jurors in the first round of judging. While ‘Applause For Children’ from Carat Taiwan and ‘Don’t Let the Lights Go Out’ from Dentsu UK also received praise and shortlisted accolades.
The top five agencies with the most shortlisted work this year are Mindshare US, Mediaplus Germany, dentsu UK, OMD New Zealand and OMD Sweden for clients 2degrees, Dove, McDonald’s, Al Joumhouria, Banco BHD, British Heart Foundation, Carat, Free2move and Heineken.
Proving that industry is doing its best to make the world a better place and be a force for the countries with the most shortlisted work are the US, the UK, Germany, New Zealand, Taiwan and the UAE.

“Once again, the final round of judging promises to be full of thoughtful discussion and debate, as the winning work will set the benchmark for using media as a force for good. Congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted,” commented Leah Mellard, Awards Manager, Festival of Media.
The jury, which includes Ofcom, TikTok, Sky, WWF, Kraft Heinz, Google, Spotify and Meta will come together for the final round next month and winners will be revealed on Thursday, 20th November. It’s free to attend and you can register for a ticket here.
