Janmesh started his corporate journey as a brand executive at Janashakthi and then moved to Unilever where he spend over 11years in various positions in Global Brand Development (overseas),Brand Building, Channel Marketing & Corporate Communications &Sustainability and to being recognized as a high performing senior resource at Unilever Sri Lanka with international experience. In his time at Unilever he has lead the most complex & largest category of mass fabric cleaning including the No.2 FMCG brand in the country “Sunlight” & leading the Foods Category (Knorr/Astra/Flora/Marmite),Deodorants (Axe/Rexona), Hair care (Sunsilk Global/ Dove/Lifebuoy/Clear), Tea Based Beverages (Lipton – Ceylonta/Laojjee) and Food Service (HoReCa) for Sri Lanka & Maldives). Janmesh has led large Marketing teams of the No.1 brand in SL”SINGER” & No.1 FMCG brand “Munchee”. Where he has led the brand to win multiple accolades that include “Asia’s Marketing Company of the Year at Asia Marketing Federation Excellence Awards”, multiple gold awards at SLIM Brand Excellence Including “Brand of the Year, Product Brand of the Year, Local Brand of the Year, Best new Entrant & Export Brand of the Year” for 3consecutive years, Recognized as the “No.1 FMCG Brand” by Kantar World Panel for 4 consecutive years, Received many “People’s Choice Awards at SLIM Neilson/Kantar People’s Choice awards such as “Peoples brand of the year, Peoples youth brand of the year & Durables brand of the year, FMCG brand of the year, youth FMCG brand of the Year, Snack brand of the year” for many consecutive years and received over 15 Effie awards in the last 4 years.
