Arvind Nair

Founding Partner

The HOOOP Collective

Arvind Nair is the Founding Partner at The HOOOP Collective, a marketing and strategy collective working with climate and circular businesses to close the gap between innovation and commercial adoption.

Prior to HOOOP, he spent about two decades working on growth, digital and brand strategy, mostly within the advertising and marketing world. He led the launch of Fitbit in India, built Hero EV’s digital ecosystem from the ground up, and ran global growth and sustainability for Mirum (VML), WPP’s martech network.

He founded HOOOP in 2025 because he felt something was missing from the sustainability conversation. The industry had become very good at discussing the problem, but not necessarily at making sustainable businesses easier to understand, trust and buy. That has led HOOOP to interesting places, including Sense, a greenwashing tool, that analyzes sustainability language and flags claims most likely to attract regulatory attention and India’s first ESG Media Index, launched with The GoodNet, which assigns a carbon number to the digital advertising infrastructure carrying a brand’s message.

He holds a MSC in Technology and Innovation management from the University of Sussex and certifications from Oxford’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and TERI School of Advanced Studies. His thinking and HOOOP’s work have appeared in Economic Times BrandEquity, AFAQS, ExchangeforMedia, and Manifest.
