Isobel Bruce

Global Head of Campaigns

Purpose

Isobel Bruce is Global Head of Campaigns at Purpose, a social impact agency, where she leads Verified for Climate, a programme developed in partnership with the UN Department of Global Communications to tackle climate mis- and disinformation. Her work sits at the intersection of climate communications, information integrity, and cultural storytelling, and has included major partnerships with TikTok, LEGO Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and Minderoo Foundation.

A TEDx speaker, Isobel delivered “The Algorithm Won’t Save Democracy. We Can.” at TEDx Ibiza, arguing that the antidote to polarisation is connection — and that building healthier information ecosystems requires investment upstream, not just reactive fact-checking. Her career spans narrative and creative roles at VMLY&R, Ogilvy, and Secret Cinema (where she worked as a Narrative Producer), giving her a distinctive lens that blends brand storytelling, campaign strategy, and cultural insight.

Beyond her day-to-day work, Isobel is a Trustee for Music Action International and the founder of Messy Women, a creative community of over 3,000 filmmakers, writers, and artists. She has spoken at UNGA, Chatham House, Concordia, and the UN Global Compact on the future of information, democracy, and culture.
