Omnicom agencies dominate the Festival of Media Cause Campaign Awards at the virtual ceremony hosted on Thursday 20th November.
PHD Worldwide went home with the revered Grand Prix award for Agency Network of the Year, while OMD Dubai and PHD USA couldn’t be separated and both scooped Agency of the Year titles.
The domination didn’t stop there as OMD Dubai’s Uncensored Press: Breaching the Algorithm and Just Joking by PHD USA jointly won Campaign of the Year accolades.
Other campaigns that impressed the judges included OMD Peru’s EstibaDores, Real Beauty Redefined for the AI Era from Mindshare US and The KITA Initiative: Making Women-Owned Businesses Seen, One Sign at a Time by Havas Ortega Philippines.
This year’s top performing clients were Al Joumhouria, Sandy Hook Promise, Dove, Mibanco, 2Degrees and Nosotras producing work around the globe that impressed the judges.
As ever the breadth of work from around the world instigated lots of discussion and debate amongst the jurors and the countries that achieved the most shortlisted accolades and wins were the US, UK, UAE, Peru, New Zealand and the Philippines.
The winners were decided by three groups of juries from around the world to ensure each case had inclusive and diverse perspectives in the mix when it came to discussing the merits of each shortlisted submission. There were two virtual sessions and one live session held in London at the Mediasense offices.
“This awards programme has always been about showcasing how media can be a force for good and encouraging more of the industry to do more to make the world a better place and this year the work submitted has had a life changing positive impact on countries, communities and groups around the world. We’re proud of this programme and what it stands for”, said Leah Mellard, Awards Manager, Festival of Media.
