David Kang is a technology, media, and marketing leader with a career spanning some of the most influential platforms of our generation – TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and Meta – where he has built and scaled products, partnerships, and businesses at the intersection of advertising, content, commerce, and culture. At TikTok, he currently leads strategic growth initiatives, product strategy, and go-to-market for the platform’s largest and most valuable global client partnerships across CPG, beauty, and luxury. He serves as a strategic advisor to senior marketing and brand executives in the space, helping them navigate and maximize TikTok’s evolving advertising, creative, and commerce ecosystem.
Previously, David pioneered Snapchat’s entry into the creator economy, launching the platform’s first branded content and creator monetization programs and forging the first official brand and creator partnerships on Snapchat. He was also an early member of Instagram’s Creator Monetization product team, and helped build and operationalize Meta’s first AI voice assistant product within the AI Research organization. Most recently, David was the Head of Product and Marketing at an early-stage consumer fashion tech startup backed by the co-founder of Reddit.
David is a strong advocate for technology advancing marketing, branding, media, and creativity. He serves on the IAB Creator Economy and Video Innovation Committees and advises early-stage startups across media, AI, and commerce.
