Victor Kong is a digital strategist and general manager who currently holds the position of President of Cisneros Interactive, the digital arm of Cisneros. Cisneros is one of the leading privately held organizations in the world of media and entertainment, digital media and telecommunications, consumer products and services, and real estate and tourism development.
Cisneros Interactive is focused in Digital Advertising in the U.S. Hispanic, Latin American and Spanish markets. Four years ago, it invested in two companies that are now leaders in their space: RedMas, the online advertising business unit with more than 135 million unique users per month in the United States and Latin America, and Adsmovil, the region’s leading mobile advertising network. During the past year, Cisneros Interactive added a number of companies to its portfolio, such as Audio.Ad, FLUVIP, Coyote Media House, and Tail Latino, to name a few.
For more than a decade, Kong has been a leader in managing Internet businesses, digital strategies and new business ventures. Prior to Cisneros, he was Vice President and General Manager for CNN Radio Worldwide, where he was responsible for providing the best original audio news content to CNN’s terrestrial radio affiliates and for developing new audiences, partnerships, and content for digital platforms. Previously, Kong served as Vice President and Managing Director of MySpace, Latin America in 2007, starting Latin American operations for the company and building marketing, sales, and support infrastructures in Miami, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina. He also worked at MTV Networks Latin America, and Terra Networks. Before working in Media, he was a management consultant at Booz and McKinsey & Company. His leadership and vision helped organizations embrace new and emerging technologies like social media, mobile platforms, among others.
His experience in launching and growing digital businesses, business development, innovation, and revenue-centric thinking make him a regular speaker at events and conferences focused on the digital world. Born in Uruguay, Kong earned a Bachelor degree with distinction in Economics and International Relations from Stanford University and a Masters of Business Administration with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
