Juan Maio, who grew up in Venezuela has developed his professional experience in Technology, Marketing and Sales with global leading companies in the digital sector. Graduated as a chemical engineer at the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas, and completed graduate studies at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where he graduated as a MBA. Before his graduate studies he worked at Procter & Gamble and Shell in Venezuela. Dell was the company in which Juan started his path in technology and where he had the opportunity to manage the business of Laptops for Latin America based in Austin Texas and Panama. He went on to lead marketing for Mexico and Latin America CRM. His expertise in digital began at Google Mexico where he led the Technology, Health, Finance and classifieds Verticals. From there he moved to Google New York servicing Retail and Technology customers focused on online sales. After, he joined Microsoft Advertising as Global Vertical Director of Technology before returning the Latin American market for Facebook Pan-Regional business based in Miami. Since April 2016 Juan is the Senior Vice President and Head of Latin America to Perform Group, a global leader sports media, content, and sports statistics, best known for owning Goal.com, largest soccer portal in the world, Sporting News, Opta and Ominisports. At Perform Juan has led the region launching Goal Studios in Latam and growing Perform’s audience footprint by evolving a leading sports online video syndication platform to reach consumers across the main news portals in the region.
