With more than fifteen years of experience in the entertainment industry, covering areas such as audience and market research, Brand Management, consumer marketing, Digital media, business development and strategic planning, Jesús Rodríguez has a strong connection with consumers, applying insights to new product development, programming strategy and advertising for companies such as HBO and Warner Bros in their international endeavors.
Currently, as the head of HBO networks, he is in charge of program planning, communications and Creative for 10 distinctively core channels and line extensions and the non linear content strategy for HBO GO and HBO OD for Spanish Speaking Latin America, Brazil and the Caribbean territory, in this role, Jesus balance financial and content strategy with Brand management and business opportunities in distribution.
He was previously head of the New Media and Business Development Department at HBO Latin America, and conducted research on new Distribution Technologies, such as new digital channels. He also led the deployment of Video On Demand (VOD) in Mexico and Chile.
As Director of Research and consumer Intelligence, Mr Rodriguez developed projects such as Pilot testing for new series, Brand Equity Tracking, Audience segmentation, Price sensitivity and consumer demand.. He created the programming & audience research (ratings) division (1996) and the Media Planning and Buying Department (2001)
In addition to HBO Latin America, he has professional experience in Venezuela at the Venevisión television channel and Omnivisión cable system. Jesus also served as Consultant for Digital Strategy at Warner Bros’s Channel in Latin America in 2008.
Jesús holds a bachelor degree in Advertising and Marketing from the New Professions University Institute – Universidad Santa Maria, in Caracas, Venezuela.
