Nigel is chief marketing officer for the Colgate-Palmolive
Company.
Nigel joined the Colgate-Palmolive UK marketing department in
1979 and held a series of positions of increasing responsibility.
In 1988, he came to New York to work in the Oral Care group in
global business development, and four years later, was promoted to
general manager, Oral Care for Colgate US.
In 1994, Nigel was promoted to vice-president, marketing,
Colgate-Palmolive Canada, working across all the categories. In
1997, Nigel moved to Colgate-Palmolive Spain as vice-president and
general manager. In 1999, he was promoted to vice-president and
general manager of Colgate-Palmolive UK.
In 2002, Nigel returned to New York as vice-president, Global
Oral Care, and was subsequently promoted to president in 2005.
In 2011, Nigel was promoted to his current role as chief
marketing officer. Nigel is responsible for all the global
categories and brands, as well as global insights, global
advertising, digital groups and shopper marketing on a worldwide
basis.
