Robert re-joined Telegraph Media Group (TMG) in February 2016 and has overall responsibility for all marketing, data & insight, brand management and customer experience initiatives. Previous to joining TMG, he was Vice President, Head of International Marketing and Editorial, Yahoo!, and had responsibility for all Yahoo! marketing and editorial teams outside of the US. He worked at Yahoo since 2010, prior to which he was Global Director of Marketing at Phorm.
Since joining TMG, Robert has been focused on developing deep audience insights and creating a customer strategy for the group that builds the TMG brand and puts the needs of the modern consumer at its heart. His strategy and insights have led to the recent launch of the Telegraph’s new app and brand response campaign – both marking a significant change in how TMG is positioning itself to its audiences.
In a challenging publishing environment, Robert is also reviewing how the Telegraph generates revenue, setting out steps for maintaining its position as the leading quality daily newspaper across all of its key products (print titles, Edition app and mobile). Further announcements will be made towards the end of 2016 that see Robert’s work on this come to fruition.
