Graham Brown has an accomplished background as a global media professional.
He started out at the planning and buying coalface in London agencies, moving to the US as Media Director, FCB New York, working with large domestic clients such as Colgate and Nabisco. Graham returned to the UK to set up Carat International, where he was responsible for overseeing the management of all Carat’s multinational clients and developing products and services globally. He went on to become the Group Development Director at parent company Aegis Group, where he reported into the CEO, Sir Crispin Davis and helped set up Carat’s media operations in Asia, US and Latin America. He left Aegis to buy Thumb Design, a leading brand agency which he sold to NETTEC, the first digital agency to list on the FTSE.
In 2009, Graham co-founded MediaSense which has grown into a leading independent Global Media Advisory firm. MediaSense specialises in advising global brands on media performance, agency management and governance, ensuring clients derive maximum value from their media investments and relationships. In 2019 MediaSense are celebrating their 10th year, and will launch the third iteration of their seminal industry survey Media2020.
He brings a wealth of experience of client and media agency relationships, a rich understanding of the growing pressures on marketing leaders and deep expertise in the process of managing change across complex organisations.
Graham is frequently called upon to advise marketers and investors on the changes taking place in the media and marketing services industry.
