A prominent marketing thought leader for over 20 years, Andrew Warner has held senior roles at companies including BBC, Microsoft, Sony, LG and Expedia. Most recently he was Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer at Monster Worldwide.
A Fellow of The Marketing Society, Andrew is also on the advisory boards of The CMO Council, Marketing2020 and the CMO Benchmarking Network. LinkedIn named him as a top 10 global marketing influencer, Marketing Week placed him in their Vision 100 and Campaign included Andrew in their Marketing Power 100.
Andrew has overseen award winning marketing initiatives across five continents. The campaigns he has led have won creative awards at The Clios, D&AD and 18 Cannes Lions. But he also has a strong track record for driving media effectiveness. Plaudits received for this include The Cannes Effectiveness Lion, Gold at The Effies, The IPA Effectiveness Awards and having several campaigns feature at the top end of the WARC 100.
A champion of greater industry diversity, Andrew has been active in helping those from less privileged backgrounds build careers in marketing. He has also supported initiatives such as The Tech Talent Charter, which aims to address diversity challenges in the UK technology industry.
Currently Andrew is working with a number of British entrepreneurs, through his Susumi initiative. His aim is to bring progressive marketing thinking to early stage organisations. In his view these businesses often receive poor marketing advice, focused on “cookie-cutter” tactics and “hustle”. Warner challenges them to build robust strategies and to execute them with a sense of mischief.
A native of Godalming in England, Andrew is an Alumnus of Kellogg of Management (USA) and Lancaster University Management School (UK).
