James Davies is Strategic Development Director at Posterscope,
the Global out-of-home (OOH) communications agency network which
has 42 offices around the world as well as its airport specialist
PSI.
James graduated with a degree in physics and joined Posterscope
UK in 1997, running their digital and innovations division,
Hyperspace, since its launch in 2002. Hyperspace provides
advertisers with the opportunity to integrate cutting edge
technology and production into campaigns and also creates brand new
communications channels. It also acts as the hub for the
development of digital OOH tools, research, marketing, innovation
and product development.
He is also driving Posterscope's convergence planning approach
which helps brands and agencies take full advantage of the
increasingly important role that OOH can play in today's connected
economy.
James has been involved in many of the industry's most
innovative out-of-home campaigns pioneering the use of numerous
technologies ranging from 'visual search' to personalized digital
screens and mobile Near Field Communications (NFC).
Posterscope and Hyperspace are widely recognised as leaders in such
areas being named as one of Cream's Top 100 innovators and winning
the Best use of Emerging Technology award at the 2011 International
Festival of Media.
James is a frequent commentator on the out-of-home industry and
its future.
