Bernhard Glock joined the Advisory and
Business Development Company Medialink LLC as Senior VP in January
2011 focusing on media best practices and business development.
Before that he founded the Bernhard Glock Media Leadership Company
LLC in 2009 where he focused on strategic media consultancy and
business development. Until September 30, 2009 he worked as Vice
President Global Media and Communication and Vice President Global
Media Purchases at Procter & Gamble where he was responsible
for defining, leading and advancing P&G's marketing
communication and media purchases best practices. Glock joined
P&G in 1985 as part of the marketing group in Germany where he
continually advanced within the company worldwide. His positions
included - European Media Manager, Brussels, Belgium; Director of
P&G Media-Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia; Director of
Media and Direct-to-Consumer Capability in Europe and Asia and
Manager of Global Media and Communication, Geneva, Switzerland.
During his 24 years career at P&G he
established and lead successfully the P&G Media organization,
globally, regionally and locally. Glock was a passionate advocate
in P&G's move toward holistic communication planning. He
created the "connect with consumers when and where they are
receptive" media and communication planning approach. As a result,
most of P&G's biggest brands are now following an integrated
communication approach. Glock worked in the team that crafted,
updated and rolled out the P&G Brand Building Framework. He was
also a pioneer in involving purchases in P&G's media
negotiations and enhancing consumer marketing return on investment
(ROI). His latest pioneering responsibility was to reorganize Media
at P&G and establish dedicated Media Purchases and Media
Planning and Operations organizations.
After he launched his own Company in October
1, 2009, Glock worked as a consultant with major advertisers,
agency networks, broadcasters and associations in the US and
International. His latest entrepreneurial initiative is an
innovative market shifting media solution that brings together
breakthrough start-up/emerging companies and established businesses
in media and marketing communications.
He is chairman of the UK based media barter
company Miroma and is in the advisory board of DataXU (real time
bidding and ad optimization, Boston), TheTMSway (global telco free
gateway to mobile marketing, HongKong), Adpulse (breakthrough
technology harnessing media solution, Bangalore/NY), Modiv Media
(leading mobile shopper marketing solution, Boston) and United
Digital Group (UDG, digital agency group, Hamburg).
Glock was the chairman of the Media
Committee of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) for 6 years
and Deputy President of the WFA for 2 years. For the past 4 years
he has served as President of the WFA. His head office is in
Cincinnati, Ohio, USA where he resides with his wife and two
daughters.
