Dan Molloy is global executive director of multi-media sales for
Dow Jones. Based in Hong Kong, he leads advertising and
sponsorship initiatives from the Asia Pacific region for the Wall
Street Journal franchise and all Dow Jones media properties
globally.
Prior to joining Dow Jones, Dan spent over 15 years in the media
industry across magazines, newspaper, digital, conference/events
and content syndication, including 11 years with the Financial
Times in leadership positions in Hong Kong, China and Japan. During
his time with the Financial Times, he covered a wide range of
commercial and sales activities, including regional deputy
commercial director, as well as country head for the FT's Japan
business, president of FTChinese.com and FT Rui Magazine
in China.
Dan's work and academic studies in the Asia region extends back
to the early 1990s when he spent two years as an English teacher
with the JET Programme in Japan. Dan speaks both Japanese and
Mandarin, in addition to his native English, and is a graduate of
the Kellogg-HKUST eMBA program hosted in Chicago and in Hong
Kong.
