Ken has deep experience in marketing & technology and is a
regional thought leader around the increasing convergence of these
two disciplines and their impact on businesses. His
experience covers a wide array of industry verticals with extensive
experience in Social, Mobile and almost every possible form of
Digital Advertising. In his current role as Managing Director
Pacific Ken is responsible for Hootsuite's regional growth strategy
and rapid expansion in the region.
Prior to joining HootSuite, Ken was Managing Director of
Salesforce Marketing Cloud for APAC and before that Buddy Media's
first hire in the region where he led the enterprise software
company's growth in the region until Salesforce.com acquired it in
one of the largest social media software acquisitions to date.
Before his role at Salesforce.com, Ken held leadership positions
with Yahoo! APAC. He was Yahoo!'s Regional Vice President of
Sales where he was responsible for the monetization and sales
strategy across Yahoo's entire product line including Search,
Display, Mobile and the RightMedia Advertising Exchange.
Prior to this Ken was tasked with establishing Yahoo!'s operation's
in SE Asia and opened four new markets in less than two years for
the internet giant as Managing Director of South East Asia.
Ken's early passion before he found the world's of SaaS and
Platforms was Advertising where he held APAC leadership roles as
CEO, Neo@Ogilvy, Vice President, OgilvyOne and Regional CEO,
XM Asia Pacific.
Ken has also been very active in growing the digital ecosystem
in Asia holding current and previous roles as Chairman Emeritus of
the Interactive Advertising Bureau, SE Asia (IAB), Founding
Chairman IAB SE Asia, Founding Vice-Chairman of the Mobile
Marketing Association APAC (MMA), Board Council Member of Design
Singapore under the Ministry of Information, Communications &
the Arts (MICA) and Chairman of Digital Advertising Alliance under
the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA)
Ken completed his Asia-Pacific Management
Post-Baccalaureate Program at Capilano College, Vancouver, Canada
and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Psychology from
McGill University in Montreal. Ken has been in Asia since
1994 and has lived in Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Cambodia with
Singapore being his family's home since 1999 .
