Rewriting the Rule Book
The Festival of Media is an established fixture in the global media communication and advertising calendar. The event brings together the international media and marketing industry to celebrate the best in media thinking and creative communications strategy and to explore the media developments that are transforming the industry.
The Festival comprises a two day conference with leading industry speakers, an exhibition of new media opportunities, a global awards ceremony showcasing the best creative media thinking and unrivalled networking opportunities.
The 2010 Festival of Media survived the onslaught of volcanic ash from Iceland, with over 200 delegates braving travel chaos to attend. Those who could not make it in person, are able to view all the content through this site and join the discussion through our tweededia feed.

History
The Festival of Media was launched in 2007 in Venice, as the world’s first global festival of media creativity. In its first year, it attracted the international media community’s most senior directors and was welcomed as an important new addition to the media business calendar. With the enthusiastic support of the industry, the Festival more than doubled in size and outgrew its original location, moving to Valencia, Spain. In 2010 the Festival will again take place in Spain’s third largest city. The agenda for the Festival continues to develop in consultation with the industry – ensuring that it both remains relevant to the core delegation and attracts a new audience, reflecting the new opportunities that are developing for creative, effective media communication.
